STIX 8's Tournament
The STIX 8’s Tournament is designed to provide players with in-game teaching opportunities in order to build on their current skills and prepare them for the next level. STIX Coaches will be on hand to inform, support, and provide immediate, real-time feedback. This year, players will have even more opportunity to thrive and develop within a controlled environment.
The primary goal of this tournament is development. We will continue to emphasize competition by keeping score and challenging the players to push for the championship, but at the end of the day it is the individual development that is most important.

Categories
U9 (2014-15) - Transitioning to Full-Ice$159 + GST
- Focusing on off-sides, face-off positioning, and getting used to the large ice surface
- Full ice 5 on 5, 1 referee, 1 coach
- Format:
- 4-team round robin (3 games each), 5 on 5, full ice
- 2 x 30-minute halves, run time, 90 second shifts, change on the buzzer
- After round-robin, top 2 teams play for Gold, 3rd and 4th play for Bronze
U11 (2012-13) - Awareness and Positioning$159 + GST
- Focusing on spatial awareness, positioning, and how to use open ice and teammates to be more effective in-game
- Full ice 4 on 4, 1 referee, 1 coach
- Format:
- 4-team round robin (3 games each), 4 on 4, full ice
- 3 x 24-minute periods, run time, change on the fly/at the whistle
- After round-robin, top 2 teams play for Gold, 3rd and 4th play for Bronze
U13 (2010-11) - Contact Confidence$159 + GST
- Includes 2 contact confidence sessions
- Focusing on safe and effective body contact in preparation for U15
- Coaches will provide immediate, in-game feedback to develop contact confidence
- Full ice 4 on 4, 2 referees
- Format:
- 4-team round robin (3 games each), 4 on 4, full ice
- 3 x 24-minute periods, run time, change on the fly/at the whistle
- After round-robin, top 2 teams play for Gold, 3rd and 4th play for Bronze
