David Addison

Female Hockey Coordinator

David believes one of the most important aspects of coaching is gaining 100% trust from players through positive reinforcement and guided discovery. Each goaltender needs an individual approach to their training. Although there are common skills great goaltenders share, the way they learn and interpret things are different.

David’s skill development philosophy focuses on game play for the goaltenders he works with. Technical skills are vital for all goalies, but without game transferability it’s tough to be successful. As a result, David always integrates game situations when working with goalies.

David also has an extensive background in the following areas:

  • Strength and conditioning
  • Working with associations and teams to build programs for athletes
  • Player skill development

He feels one of the greatest, most rewarding things in life is helping young athletes reach their dreams in a fun, engaging and positive atmosphere.

David was born in Barrie, Ontario and moved to Calgary, Alberta at the age of 10. David played Minor Hockey to the Midget level with the Calgary Northstars before turning to competitive golf. He still competes as a golfer at the amateur level in Alberta.
